*Proficiency in both guitar and piano is an integral component of this course of study. Students who are not already proficient must complete 4 credits in piano and 4 credits in guitar, culminating in proficiency examinations that assess the required skills on both instruments. Students who wish to demonstrate proficiency without completing the required coursework must obtain approval from the course instructor(s) before taking the proficiency exams in piano and/or guitar.
