This course is an introduction to the field of research in the behavioral sciences and is the first of the three-course sequence. Topics include scientific methods, research ethics, literature review, research designs, sampling, research questions and hypothesis development. Students are expected to develop a research proposal using the survey method of data collection. The course is presented through lectures, research activities, exams, and research proposal.

PY 307 (no grade below C).
