Student Activities contributes to the mission of the University and Student Life and Mission by providing a variety of co-curricular programs and services, which encourage student involvement in the campus community and enhance the educational aspects of the Oakwood community. The cultural, social, recreational, and educational programs supported and developed by Student Activities are designed to create a positive learning experience. These experiences are to enrich the value of students’ education; assist students in developing leadership and life skills and create awareness and promote understanding of community and social issues.
The Student Activities office also serves in an advisory capacity to the USM and over 30 student clubs and organizations. The office provides student groups with information, leadership, and guidance to support their efforts.
