Incoming freshmen at Oakwood University must register for all courses through the Center for Student Success (CSS) if any of the following conditions apply:

High school GPA is below 2.00

ACT composite score is less than 17 or SAT total score is less than 920

ACT mathematics score is less than 14 or SAT mathematics score is less than 360
Developmental courses assigned under these conditions are in addition to the 120 credit hours required for graduation. Each developmental course must be passed with a minimum grade of C before the student may register for further English or mathematics courses. Courses that are failed must be repeated until successfully completed.
Please note: Grades and credit hours from developmental courses are not included in the cumulative GPA and do not count toward graduation credit requirements.
