This course is designed to give the students basic pharmacology knowledge with an emphasis on general pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and a survey of major drug classifications, mechanism of action, uses, side effects, and client education, where applicable. A student of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare providers in drug administration will also be included. This course is required for Health Science majors.
Prerequisites
BI 111, BI 112, EN 112 and junior standing.
