This course analyzes the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with special consideration given to Adventist doctrinal distinctives (the Sabbath, the Three Angels’ Messages, the Sanctuary, and Conditionalism) within the broader Christian tradition. The aim of the course is to equip ministerial/theology students to serve as developing Adventist theologians within their future ministry contexts. The course includes the historical development, biblical veracity, and systematization (inner logic and interconnectedness) of the Adventist distinctives. Special attention is given to at least one contemporary doctrinal issue to be chosen by the instructor.
