Retroactive Withdrawals

Requests for retroactive withdrawals or drops from courses will not be granted unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as serious illness, which impeded submission of the form by deadline; death of a close relative or friend at the time the withdrawal request was due, for which the student can provide legitimate documentation. The only other exception is when the university fails to process students’ requests in a timely manner. Students must complete the Academic Request form to make a request of retroactive withdrawal. Requests will be discussed in Academic Policies Committee meetings and may be approved or denied.
