- The satisfactory completion of required remedial courses and removal of admission deficiencies. This may add to the total hours required to complete the degree.
- The satisfactory completion of the general education requirements for Associate Degrees.
- The satisfactory completion of a major of at least 27 hours, including a minimum of 8 hours of upper division courses.
- The satisfactory completion of a minimum of 60 semester hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00.
- The attainment of a minimum overall GPA of 2.25 in the major. No grade below C may apply toward the major.
- A minimum of 24 semester hours in residence at Oakwood University.
- The satisfactory completion of the major departmental exit examination.
