Students may choose to repeat a course for a higher grade. In all cases, the highest grade earned in the repeated course will be accepted for credit and used to calculate the cumulative GPA. The lower grade remains on the transcript but is not calculated into the cumulative GPA. Some departments may limit the number of courses that can be repeated or the number of times a course can be repeated. Please refer to the “Departments of Instruction” section of this bulletin for specific departmental policies.
