Among the institution's governing policies are specific infractions that may warrant suspension and, in some cases, may lead to dismissal or serious disciplinary action, even for a first offense. Since no student who habitually engages in such behavior would knowingly be accepted at Oakwood University, a first infraction may result in dismissal.
A student whose academic progress, conduct, or influence is deemed unsatisfactory or detrimental may be asked to withdraw at any time. Any student who is dismissed must leave campus immediately and may face trespassing charges if they return without prior authorization from the administration.
A student suspended for disciplinary reasons will receive a grade of “W” in all courses. (See Refund and Repayment Policy in the Financial Aid section of the bulletin).
