This course is designed to give the students basic pharmacology knowledge with an emphasis on general pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and a survey of major drug classifications, mechanism of action, uses, side effects, and client education, where applicable. A study of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare providers in drug administration is included. This course is required for Health Science majors.
