Oakwood University complies with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). A student’s record is regarded as confidential, and release of this information is regulated by the FERPA Act. Students have the right to inspect their records by scheduling an appointment with the Registrar’s Office. Parents of students termed “dependent” for income tax purposes are entitled to receive information relating to the students’ educational records upon request.
